Who/what is Command Spanish®, Inc.? Command Spanish®, Inc. is America's #1 provider of occupational Spanish and cross-cultural programs and seminars for working adults. The company's management team consists of Spanish professors, specialists in language acquisition and learning theory, specialists in curriculum development and curriculum design, award winning experts in instructional methodology, experts in Hispanic culture, and native Spanish-speakers. All programs and materials are the result of careful research and on-the-job shadowing. They are reviewed by practitioner consultants and native Spanish-speakers. With over 30 years in the field, Command Spanish® offers materials that are work-specific and easy to use. [BACK TO TOP]

What is occupational Spanish? The newest field in language learning is occupational Spanish. Adults attending an occupational Spanish class learn only the Spanish phrases, statements, questions, and commands needed for their specific job requirements. There is no attempt to teach the whole language. Nurses learn how to assist and treat patients in Spanish, not to discuss the weather. Police officers are taught how to arrest criminals in Spanish, not to order tacos in a restaurant. For a more detailed explanation, click here. [BACK TO TOP]

Upon completion of an online course, students receive a Certificate of Completion. All of our online courses employ our proprietary Language Power-Lock System™. This system allows the learner to effectively enter into the learning process through multiple doors and pathways. The Language Power-Lock System™ addresses the multiple learning styles- Cognetive, affective, and psychomotor, by providing the learner with visual, auditory, and physical/manipulative/interactive learning strategies. The student "sees" Spanish, "hears" Spanish, and "does" Spanish, virtually guaranteeing successful outcomes. These outcomes can be measured and assessed immediately by the student through the "record-back" option, and also by the numerous quizzes and reviews that provide cumulative evaluations prior to an exit exam.
